Non-EDI Order Types

Posted in Policy in September 2023

There are instances when an order must be emailed to Seco Customer Support (customerservice@secotools.com for US & CA and soportemx@secotools.com for MX) in order to be correctly processed:

  • Blanket/Call-Off orders must be emailed; if an order is submitted via EDI, it will be processed to ship the full order balance immediately, and we cannot guarantee that the order can be intercepted for re-processing.
  • Price Exception orders must be emailed with a copy of the Seco quote granting the deviated pricing or with the quote number. Without the quote information, the order will be processed at standard pricing.
  • Test Tool orders must be emailed stating that they are for test with the end customer’s name specified. If a test order is not properly noted, the test material will not be invoiced correctly.
  • Tooling Voucher orders must be emailed with either a copy of the applicable voucher PDF or with the voucher’s serial number. Without the voucher information, the order will be processed at standard pricing.

Submitting these orders manually will not count against your EDI target.

We appreciate your diligence in ensuring that these exception cases are being properly submitted. Please reach out to dbd.us@secotools.com if you have any concerns or if you would like to know more about these programs.
