Mold & Die Expansions

Reduce cycle times in hard milling with a metric expansion to the Niagara Cutter Mold and Die family, including ball nose end mills with 6xD+ neck options. Rough and finish in a single process with MBZ215 and MZN410R.

Tips for Hard Milling:

• Maintain a constant chip load/feed rate
• Don’t leave too much stock for finishing
• Leave consistent stock on all surfaces for maximum tool life
• Remember that not all hardened tool steels are created equal
• Use rigid holders
• Follow recommended cutting parameters

Perfomax® Indexable Drill

Increase your drilling parameters and boost tool life with Seco’s new indexable insert drill with optimized anti-friction surface chip flutes for optimum chip control and evacuation.

New Design Features & Their Benefits:

• New flute design with larger helix, smoother chip flute exit, and larger center chip flute area to optimize chip forming and increase application security
• New pocket design: bigger radius at the bottom of the insert pocket for improved reliability
• Laser hardening: the front of the flute is now laser hardened for an increased tool life of the drill body up to 140%
• Wave pattern in the flute to generate an “anti-friction” surface, further improving chip evacuation and increasing application security
• Chamfers added on the flats of the shanks to avoid marks in the toolholder
• Relocated coolant holes for better cooling and improved chip evacuation
• Polished drill body to speed production of the drills and improve chip evacuation and tool life
