Overview of Our QC Claim Process
For any quality issues, our distributors should contact their Seco sales representative, who will request a “quality return” authorization from our customer service department after qualifying the issue. Customer service will provide our distributor with a Return Material (RM) number, label, packing list and return material listing.
Once the product is received back at Seco, it will be inspected by our quality control team. Thus, submission of a claim does not assure that it is approved. The decision will be based on evaluation of the product to specifications. In some cases, the product must have to be shipped back to the production unit for final decision on the claim, which may extend the turnaround time on the QC claim process.
Standard items sent back on a QC claim will be fully credited if the claim is justified. No replacement order will be automatically started by Seco in that case. The distributor is responsible for sending a new PO for replacement tools if needed.
Special items sent back on a QC claim will either be repaired or remade, if the claim is justified. The repaired / remade tools will be sent back on the original customer PO at no charge.
Seco strives to have a decision on all quality issues within 10 days of receiving the product back. A final credit will be issued by Credit & Collections within 30 days of receipt of material when necessary.
