When your customer faces a challenge, small or large, you can rely on Seco to provide not only a tool, but a complete solution. Sometimes, that’s as simple as supplying a single standard product. Seco’s Component Engineered Tooling (CET) team thoroughly evaluates each customer’s application and creates a proposal specifically designed to optimize it. Our goal is to help our customers navigate complex manufacturing projects and become a valued extension of their engineering department, by providing a single point of contact from start to finish.

Our North American CET organization was started in 2006 and moved to our Troy headquarters in 2008. It is one of twelve globally networked locations sharing knowledge and new ideas. In 2013, our Custom Tooling Manufacturing facility was moved to Troy from Tennessee as well, allowing our full staff of Engineered Solutions experts to work even more closely together.

Seco Engineered Solutions provides a comprehensive package for establishing a new process or updating an existing one. We put together all the pieces of the puzzle – not just cutting tools but also machining strategy, component material, machine tool capability, fixturing and inventory management.

Our CET team provides methodology and technology evaluations to ensure that the most suitable equipment is applied to a process. Functional testing can be carried out at our Seco Technical Center to prove a solution with minimum impact on our customers’ operations prior to implementation. The team also executes an integration plan, including technical support and training, implementation of the system, run-off tests and documentation of potential savings. It all comes down to reducing cycle time and offering continuous improvement, but it's that team effort that makes our Engineered Solutions a success.
